Colorado's Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) Division is conducting rulemaking as we build a system that works for both employers and workers. Below you’ll find all adopted rules, copies of current and previously proposed rules, recordings from previous rulemaking hearings, public comments received as well as the FAMLI Statute.

Important Updates

State Average Weekly Wage Update: Effective July 1, 2023, At 12:01 a.m., the state average weekly wage for the purposes of FAMLI benefits will be $1,421.16.

MAXIMUM BENEFIT: Pursuant to §8-13.3-506(1)(b), the maximum weekly benefit will remain $1,100. 
WEEKLY BENEFITS: Pursuant to §8-13.3-506(1)(a), benefits for covered individuals shall be paid as follows:

  • Average weekly wage less than or equal to $710.58 shall be replaced at a rate of 90%.
  • Average weekly wage above $710.58 shall be replaced at a rate of 50%, up to the maximum benefit.
