(DENVER) – Paid family and medical leave is right around the corner in Colorado. To help make sure everyone knows how it works and how they can access it, the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE)’s Division of Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) will be hosting a series of public meetings across the state to educate and prepare Colorado workers, families, health care providers, and employers.
Approved by Colorado votes in 2020, the FAMLI program will help workers across Colorado have access to wage replacement benefits in order to take care of themselves or their families during life circumstances that pull them away from their jobs. Both employers and employees have been contributing premiums to the program via payroll deductions since January of 2023. FAMLI will start providing benefits to eligible workers starting on January 1, 2024.
In partnership with Colorado Workforce Centers, the FAMLI Division will be offering in-person and virtual options for each town hall.
FAMLI’s regional town hall schedule is below. Interested attendees are asked to RSVP and can access the virtual meetings on famli.colorado.gov. More information, including previously recorded webinars and FAQs, can also be found at famli.colorado.gov.
