Colorado employers — it’s time to update your total employee headcount in My FAMLI+ Employer.
A quick update keeps your premiums accurate and protects you from overpaying. To complete your update before February 28, 2026:
- Log in to your My FAMLI+ Employer account.
- Look for the Annual Total Employee Headcount task on your dashboard.
- You’ll see the headcount you reported to begin 2025 — enter your updated number for 2026.
All employers complete this update each year, including those with approved private plans. Because the update requires employer verification, third-party administrators (TPAs) aren’t able to submit it on your behalf.
If your headcount isn’t refreshed by February 28, 2026, the 0.88% premium rate will be applied to your business for 2026.
2026 Premium Rates
Refreshing your total now makes sure your premium aligns with the size of your workforce.
- 10 or more employees: 0.88% of wages each quarter
- Nine or fewer employees: 0.44% of wages each quarter
- All employers: Option to deduct up to 0.44% from employee wages toward your total premium amount
Quick Answers for Your Business
Who counts in my employee headcount? Your headcount reflects how many people were on your payroll for 20 or more calendar workweeks in the previous calendar year (2025).
Does my headcount include remote (out-of-state) employees? It does! You’ll still only pay premiums for your Colorado-based employees, though.
What about seasonal workers? They count — and intermittent workers too! Anyone who appeared on your payroll for 20+ weeks in 2025 counts toward your total.
What about employees who left? As long as they were on your payroll for 20 or more weeks, they count towards your headcount.
And if a new hire has been on payroll for less than 20 weeks before the end of 2025? They don’t count!
