The FAMLI Division has filed the following proposed rules with the Secretary of State and the Department of Regulatory Agencies:
The proposed rules are also published here. The most notable proposed changes to the existing rules include changes to the definition of wages subject to FAMLI premiums, provisions for self-employed individuals and clarifications for local governments.
The public comment period is now open. To submit a written public comment on the proposed rule changes, please fill out our Submit A Public Comment form.
The FAMLI Division will hold a rulemaking public hearing on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023, beginning at 10:15 a.m. and ending once the last person who wishes to speak has been heard.
This hearing will be held virtually over Zoom. We strongly encourage attendees to RSVP and let us know if they plan to testify. Attendees can join the meeting at any time after 10:15 a.m.
